Woman was ‘always in pain’ until she made a diet change that ‘100% helped’

A woman has shared how a simple dietary change helped her overcome constant bloating and stomach pain. Gabby, a women’s fitness and health coach, took to Instagram to reveal that eating raw ginger every morning significantly improved her digestive issues.

In a video post, she detailed the benefits of incorporating ginger into your diet, stating: “I stared eating raw ginger every morning on an empty stomach and here’s what happened…” According to Healthline, ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea properties and can aid in weight loss, arthritis management, and reducing menstrual symptoms. It can be consumed fresh, dried, powdered, or as an oil or juice.

Gabby further explained in her caption: “As a girl who’s always struggled with stomach problems, always bloated, always in pain, never comfortable, I was recommended to try and eat raw ginger every morning.”

She added that while it felt strange initially, she soon noticed improvements in her bowel movements, reduced bloating, and less stomach irritability. She concluded by saying, “Now I’m not saying that ginger is the sole reason this has happened but it has 100% helped and I now do this every morning. Ginger has amazing benefits including anti-inflammatory properties, improves digestion, helps prevent bloating and gas, boosts immunity, and lowers blood sugar and cholesterol.

“Maybe give it a try. You don’t just need to eat a whole chunk if you don’t want to. Grate it and add to smoothies, oats etc,” reports the Mirror.

Incorporating ginger into your diet can have numerous benefits, thanks to its medicinal properties, including gingerol, which aids digestion, reduces nausea, and helps combat the flu and common cold. Research has shown that gingerol has potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

Ginger is also known to be effective in alleviating nausea, particularly for individuals undergoing certain types of surgery. However, it’s recommended to consult with a doctor before consuming large amounts, especially during pregnancy.

A 2019 review found that ginger supplements significantly reduced body weight, waist-hip ratio, and hip ratio in individuals with overweight or obesity. Some studies suggest that ginger may have anti-diabetic properties, with a 2022 review revealing a significant reduction in fasting blood sugar and HbA1c in people with type 2 diabetes who took ginger supplements.

Additionally, ginger may help manage indigestion by accelerating the passage of food through the stomach, thereby avoiding symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, feeling too full, belching, and nausea.
