Woman sadly dies in caravan fire at Hornsea

A woman has sadly died following a fire at a caravan site in Hornsea.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene on Monday, December 30 following a call just before 2pm. Three fire appliances were sent and ambulance personnel were also in attendance.

A spokesperson for Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call on Monday, December 30 at 1.52pm to a single caravan fire at a commercial site in Hornsea. Crews arrived swiftly on scene, and we sent a total of three fire engines.

“Sadly, one adult female was found unconscious, and was later confirmed as a fatality by ambulance. The incident has been marked as accidental ignition.”

A report of the incident by the BBC says the fire happened at Longbeach Leisure Park. Longbeach is a static caravan and lodge holiday home park, located at South Cliff, Hornsea.
