A knife-wielding woman posted a shocking TikTok video of herself threatening to stab her husband and telling him that she would “knife” him right in his neck.
But she fell foul of the police after a horrified work colleague spotted the online video and feared that there was a big risk that someone might be seriously hurt. The knife incident had haunting echoes of a high-profile recent murder case in which another woman viciously stabbed her husband to death and was jailed for life, Hull Crown Court heard.
Vicky Buckley, 42, of Kilnwick Avenue, off Priory Road, Hull, admitted possessing a kitchen knife in public on July 2.
Jane Rapin, prosecuting, said that, at midday on July 3, a woman who, at the time, was a work colleague of Buckley, saw a TikTok video which showed Buckley threatening to stab a man. The woman was concerned about the safety of others and contacted the police.
The video was viewed and it showed Buckley leaving a house and a man grabbing her from behind and taking something from her. It was later confirmed to be a knife. In the video, Buckley shouted to him: “I’ll stab you with it, you b*****d. I’ll f***ing knife you right in your f***ing neck. You f***ing watch.”

The man reappeared and took a knife off Buckley for a second time before both of them walked into the house. She later told police: “It was just an argument. No one else got involved.”
Police searched for any knives that seemed to have been shown in the video and found eight knives, six of them in a car. Buckley later told police that she had split up with her partner of 21 years and picked up a knife because she wanted to get back at him.
He had taken one knife off her and she went to get another. She admitted taking the knife outside and that she was later disarmed. She admitted putting the video on social media but claimed that she had no intention of causing any harm. She confirmed that, after she was first disarmed, she grabbed a second knife and used it to threaten her partner.
Samantha Laws, mitigating, said that there were references in support of Buckley from family and friends. Her husband was supporting her in court and they remained in a relationship. She had no previous convictions and she was on benefits.
Judge John Thackray KC told Buckley: “This was a serious incident. The courts are very familiar with incidents like this escalating very quickly.
“Before you know it, someone has been fatally injured. It might seem far-fetched to you but, in this very courtroom, I dealt with someone like you.” The woman involved in that case stabbed her husband to death and was given a life sentence for murder as well as suffering the loss of her husband.
Buckley had grabbed a second knife during the video incident. The court took into account that she had pleaded guilty to the offence and had no previous convictions.
Buckley was given a six-month suspended prison sentence and 25 days’ rehabilitation. She was ordered to pay £100 costs.
