The Traitors returned to the BBC this week for a brand new series of the popular drama. The show sees a group of contestants who are chosen as Faithfuls and Traitors as they go head to head to win up to £120,000.

Claudia Winkelman hosts the series, which takes place in the 19th century Andross Castle, surrounded by beautiful forests and mountains. In most episodes, viewers are treated to drone shots of the picturesque landscape.

The castle is so beautiful that American producers also use the grounds to film The Traitors US. Best of all, the castle is open for bookings from the general public.

Where is The Traitors castle?

The castle is located 30 miles north of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, which sits within over 100 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Alness. The Andross region is only populated by a small rural community living on the lower slopes.

The address for the castle is Ardross Castle, Alness, Ross-shire, IV17 0YE.

Can I visit The Traitors castle?

The historic estate dates back to the 1700s. For those who are keen to visit the location, there’s limited options.

Andross Castle can be hired for both corporate and private clients. However, if you only want a quick snoop you won’t be allowed as the castle is not a hotel, nor are individual rooms available to book.

The castle and estate are privately owned and therefore there is no facility for tour parties or individual visits.

What is included in an Andross Castle wedding?

The estate is available for private hire events and couples can get married at the iconic castle but, according to the Ardross Castle website, “there is no facility for tour parties or individual visits”.

The castle doesn’t offer “pre-packaged weddings” and areas are booked as they are needed. This means couples are expected to organise their own caterer, bar, cooking facilities, flatware, tableware, glassware and entertainment.

Andross Castle’s exclusive hire weddings does provide accommodation for up to 41 guests for two nights, usually the night before and the night of your wedding. The castle also provides tables and chairs for the ceremony and a wedding breakfast.
