Fans of the Wetherspoons chain of pubs will see more change in their pocket in the New Year as a huge range of price changes come into effect tomorrow. The ‘January sales’ will see the price of a pint dip as low as 99p until January 16 across 750 of the chain’s venues.
A pint of Worthington’s will cost just 99p under the changes while a Ruddles will be sold for £1.29 – down from its current price of £1.79 – and a Belhaven will set you back £1.49. And pint of Doom Bar will cost a mere £1.49. However, punters in Scotland will have to wait until Friday for the promotion to begin.
The slashed prices are not limited to beers and ales as a glass (250ml) of Coldwater Creek wine will cost £2.49 in 650 Wetherspoon venues. The promotion also includes deals on food and hot drinks – perfect for anyone recovering from the festive period.

Lavazza coffee, tea and hot chocolate (with free refills) are set to cost £1.29 – down from £1.59. For £2.99, punters can avail of a breakfast meal which includes a food item – a breakfast muffin, bacon butty or breakfast wrap – and a hot drink or choice of cold beverage.
There are also savings to be made on burger meal deals. Punters will be able to purchase a beef or chicken burger with a soft drink for £4.99. With an alcoholic drink, the deal will set you back £6.52 on average across the chain’s venues.

Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin said: “Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it was a perfect time to have a sale in the pubs too.”
“The range of drinks and food on sale in the pubs is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes. This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.”
