A 61-year-old woman has been charged after five sheep suffered injuries on the boundary of a West Lothian beauty spot.
She has been charged with a ‘livestock worrying offence’ for an incident which allegedly took place close to Beecraigs Country Park on December 22.
The disturbance which saw the five sheep injured occurred between 9.30am and 11.45am.
Officers dealing with the case locally thanked the community for responding to an earlier witness appeal.
A statement from West Lothian Council on Facebook said: “A 61-year-old woman has been charged with a livestock worrying offence that occurred on December 22.

“Between 9.30am and 11.45am on December 22, five sheep suffered injuries caused by a dog within a field close to the boundary of Beecraigs Country Park.
“A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
