Snow is set to start falling across Coventry and Warwickshire in the early evening tonight. That is according to the latest Met Office weather map.
Weather symbols show that, from 7pm tonight (January 4) snow is set to start to fall. This continues every hour until 2am tomorrow morning (January 5).
Then the symbols turn from snow and ice to rain. However, a Met Office amber warning for snow and ice continues into Sunday, ending at 12noon.

The latest local forecast also predicts an icy start to next week when many schools go back following the festive holiday and people return to work. There is also the chance of ‘wintry showers’.

Today
A dry and cold start with some hazy sunshine and bright spells through the day. Winds remain light but cloud thickening from the south into the afternoon. Maximum temperature 3C.
Tonight
Snow moves in from the south through the evening and overnight. Snow turns to rain by dawn but with a risk of freezing rain in places. Icy conditions expected. Minimum temperature -1C.
Sunday
Rain continues through the day under a layer of cloud, easing in the east for a time. Snow could return into the evening in the west and north. Maximum temperature 6C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday
Icy surfaces remain likely in sheltered spots. Drier Monday with a few wintry showers heading into Tuesday. Cloudier on Wednesday with hazy sunshine. Staying cold with a risk of ice.
