Watch: Young Leeside woman looking for love on First Dates Ireland this week

From awkward first counters to a prank about being in a ‘thruple’ looking for love – one young Leesider is hoping to find her perfect match on First Dates Ireland this week.

The twenty-four-year-old Nicole O’Sullivan from Cork city will feature in this Thursday’s episode at 9.30pm, where she’ll grab dinner and see if sparks fly with Wicklow woman Jade. The pair will meet on a double date with Jade’s ‘bestie’ Siobhan – who she met on the show last year – as she tries her luck with hopeless romantic Stephen from Dublin.

The young Rebel said she’s confident she makes a ‘great date’ and will chat away after a few drinks, and is hoping to find someone who can match her style and give her the odd laugh.

The full episode airs later this week, and in a sneak preview we can see Nicole teaming up with Jade and Siobhán in a prank telling Stephen they’re the series’ first-ever ‘thruple’ daters – check it out below.

It’s a very awkward first encounter for the young Dub from Shankill – but thankfully it looks like Nicole had better luck, joking at one stage that Jade might end up ‘moving to Cork.’

The Cork woman is far from the first Rebel to appear on the hit reality show. One of CorkBeo’s former reporters Joe Costigan also took appeared on the series back in 2023 after his college housemate secretly sent off an application without telling him.

On the night he was paired up with fellow Cork man Sean, and the pair shared – as one Twitter user described – “the most awkward greeting I have ever seen in my entire life.”
