Wanted Stoke-on-Trent man has been on the run for at least two weeks

Police have issued a fresh appeal to catch a wanted Stoke-on-Trent man. Officers first asked for the public’s help to catch criminal Jayke Pender-Lovatt on December 31.

But, two weeks later, the 31-year-old, who previously lived in Blurton, remains at large. A new appeal for sightings has now been released.

Pender-Lovatt is wanted by Staffordshire Police for recall to prison on suspicion of wounding. He has connections in both Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe.

StokeonTrentLive previously reported in 2029 how Pender-Lovatt was among three friends who subjected a businessman to a brutal attack. Pender-Lovatt and two brothers lured their victim to his business premises by smashing a window.

One brother attacked him with a baseball bat and Pender-Lovatt smashed a bottle of vodka over his head. The other brother used an axe to smash windows at the shop and damage the victim’s car.

They returned to the scene armed with weapons two minutes after he turned up to check on the premises. They then punched, kicked and stamped on the victim inside the shop before making off in a taxi. The terrified victim believed he was going to die. Pender-Lovatt was jailed for nine-and-a-half years and the brothers were sentenced to nine years.

Appealing for sightings of Pender-Lovatt, a force spokesman said: “We are appealing to the public to get in touch if they have seen or have any information over the whereabouts of Jayke Pender-Lovatt. Anyone with any information is urged to contact us.”

Sightings should be reported to Staffordshire Police by calling 101 or by using Live Chat on the force’s website. To report anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
