Vogue Williams to go on solo holiday to ‘save herself’ after Christmas struggles

Strictly Come Dancing star Vogue Williams has said she’s keen on a holiday alone to save herself following an eventful Christmas

Vogue, 39, who co-hosts the My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast with Joanne McNally, 41, said she’d decided not to put any money aside after Christmas because she wanted to treat herself.

The mum of three explained that part of the motivation behind the solo trip is how little assistance she and husband Spencer Matthews, 36, received while here in Ireland. Vogue said that the experience, during which neither her family nor her friends helped out with childcare, had left her at the “end of the road”.

She told co-host Joanne: “I’m going away for Christmas…I’m not actually looking to save any money. I’m going to spend it all on myself, on my holiday, on my own.

“When we were in Ireland, because I have friends and family there, I just assumed one of them, one of them might say, ‘Do you want me to take the kids over for a walk for half an hour?’ Not once. Yesterday, I said to Spencer, ‘I think I’ve hit the end of the road here’.”

The model explained that her five-year-old son Theodore, whom she refers to as ‘T’, had developed a new annoying habit. She explained: “He’s started doing this thing where he just walks around screaming the whole time, or making these insane noises. So there’s never one tiny moment of quiet.”

Vogue, who has three children with Spencer, has been candid in the past about what its like to live with three children whilst trying to continue a multi-faceted and dynamic career.

She said: “I feel overwhelmed in this house. It’s probably because I have been here for like a solid week. Now I’m just like ‘get me out of this house’. I can’t stand being here anymore, the kids are just so loud and you can’t get away from it ever.”

This isn’t the first time Vogue has spoken about the challenges of her home life and the manic nature of bringing up Theodore and her other two children, three-year-old daughter Gigi and two-year-old Otto.

Earlier this year, she spoke on the Vogue and Spencer podcast about how partying for days would be less exhausting than looking after their children. She remarked: “Weekends in our house are awful. They are a tough business. I would honestly say going on a bender for a week in Ibiza would be easier than a week in our house.”

Spencer agreed with Vogue adding: “You feel like you’ve been put in a blender by the end of it… It’s just that they always need something….Like Theo must have asked me for about 19 different things ‘Can I have waffles? Can I have water? Can we order this? Can I Google this?’ Like, can he not learn to type?”
