Two people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries after a crash along the A14 in Cambridgeshire. The incident, which involved a tractor and two cars, took place between junctions 37 and 38 along the westbound carriageway on Tuesday morning (January 14).
The East of England Ambulance service was called at 6.50am, and two ambulances were sent to the scene alongside an ambulance officer vehicle. A spokesperson for the service said: “Two patients with minor injuries were transported to the West Suffolk Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
Police officers and firefighters also attended the scene of the crash. Drivers faced severe delays as two lanes out of three were closed until around 8.45am, after which one lane was reopened and one remained shut.
Traffic was also held for 40 minutes, until around 8.20am. A National Highways spokesperson described how “significant damage” was done to the central reservation barrier as a result of the crash.
