A woman has tragically lost her life in a caravan blaze.
Emergency services were called to a caravan site in Hornsea, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, on Monday, December 30, just before 2pm. Humberside Fire and Rescue Service dispatched three fire engines to the site as the tragic incident unfolded.
Upon arrival, ambulance teams also provided aid, reports Hull Live. A spokesperson for the fire service said: “We received a call on Monday, December 30 at 1.52pm to a single caravan fire at a commercial site in Hornsea.
“Crews arrived swiftly on scene, and we sent a total of three fire engines. Sadly, one adult female was found unconscious, and was later confirmed as a fatality by ambulance. The incident has been marked as accidental ignition.”
The BBC reported that the fire occurred at Longbeach Leisure Park, a place known for its static caravans and lodge holiday homes, situated at South Cliff, Hornsea, Yorkshire Live reports.
