Meat lovers will be pleased to know a new Tomahawk Steakhouse takeaway is “coming soon” to Teesside.
Signs have gone up for a new takeaway in Ingleby Barwick with the chain’s website announcing the eatery is “coming soon”. Tomahawk already has restaurants across Teesside and North Yorkshire including Saltburn, Yarm, Middlesbrough and Potto and is popular with Teessiders.
The website states that the new venue will be located in Lowfields – with the address listed as “23a Greenside, Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees TS17 0RR.” Signage has been erected at the roundabout, near Ingleby Barwick Tesco, which includes the brand’s iconic bull logo. It is believed that the takeaway will operate from a unit next to Da Mario’s.
Pictures from the unit – which is located near Two Moons Hairdressing – confirms the chain has yet to open despite signage saying it has launched. Tomahawk is known for dishes including Himalayan salt dry-aged steaks, Wagyu, fish and vegetarian dishes.
The new venue isn’t the only Tomahawk expecting to open on Teesside. In October 2024, Teesside Live reported the chain will open a new fish and chip shop in Yarm in early 2025.

Branding has been erected at 89 High Street featuring Tomahawk’s iconic bull logo. Window posters have also been put up which read “fish and chips coming back to Yarm soon”. The shop, previously home to the Pollo takeaway launched by Tomahawk, is located between Aspire Hairdressing and Beauty, and Browns Carpets and Flooring.
