A recent study has unveiled some of the most successful Western names based on the number of award-winners associated with them.
The research, conducted by Prime Casino, analysed a range of lottery wins and various awards such as the Oscars and Grammys to determine the luckiest and most successful first names.
For the female list, Susan emerged as the luckiest, thanks to five award-winning women with the name. Notable Susans include Oscar-winning actresses Susan Sarandon and Susan Hayward.
Sarandon was awarded her Oscar in 1996 for Dead Man Walking, while Hayward received hers for I Want to Live! in 1959. However, despite its star-studded success rate, only 13 people were named Susan in 2022.

Robert is the most successful name in the male list and overall, with 15 actors, directors, sportspeople and lottery winners sharing the name. Robert is most commonly associated with Oscar-winning film directors, accounting for just under half the total, reports the Express.
This includes Robert Zemeckis, renowned for directing the Back to the Future trilogy and the Oscar-winning Forrest Gump.
Sharing second place for the ladies are five traditionally female names and one gender-neutral one – Angela, Emma, Frances, Helen, Katharine and Taylor.

Angela is the most common name for lottery winners but is uncommon for people born in 2022, placing it 809th on the Office for National Statistics list of names.
The majority of names on the list are those of Oscar winners, with the exception of Taylor, who has bagged 14 Grammys.
John, Paul and David were the runners up for the men. John Wayne was the first of his name to scoop an Oscar (True Grit, 1969) while Jon Voight won his Academy Award for Coming Home in 1978.
