A market hidden near a South London station is the perfect place to rummage for bargains this winter. Peckham Salvage Yard will open as a pop-up event on Sunday, January 12 next year at an old cricket bat factory.
Just a stone’s throw from Peckham Rye station, the event at the Copeland Park and Bussey Building will be open from 11am till 5pm. The flea market promises to be packed full of hidden treasures, unique decorations and vintage gems; while it will also host food stalls, cafes and bars.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Come hunt for personal treasures, rummage for bargains, and refresh your living space with unique finds at our massive vintage yard of salvaged olde things. Dive into a treasure trove of vintage furniture, reclaimed industrial fixtures, lighting, and salvaged electricals. Discover an eclectic mix of homewares, curiosities, collectibles, and surprising oddities waiting to be found.
“Located within Unit 8 (a former cricket bat factory) at Copeland Park in Peckham, the Peckham Salvage Yard is a veritable flea-topia of unexpected treasures and bountiful home decor gems. The location also offers the perfect complement to a day of treasure hunting, with its close proximity to a vibrant selection of new local eateries, food stalls, cafes, and bars. You can shop for a bargain, grab a bite, and dive right back in.
“Don’t settle for the “buy-gone” era – shop sustainably and join us for an absolutely flea-bulous weekend of vintage shopping delights.”
Peckham Salvage Yard is run by the Hackney Flea Market which runs similar events across London including Stratford, Stoke Newington and Hyde Park.
