December has been a lucky month for people living on 15 streets in Wales who won cash prizes in the People’s Postcode Lottery. Players pay £12 per month to enter the daily draw with each one shelling out £1,000 to players living in lucky streets.
There’s also a weekly draw on a Thursday that awards £10 each to players in 1,000 postcodes. One third of the price of every ticket bought is donated to charity.
So far this year there have been scores of pay outs including two huge wins for people living on streets in Wales. Neighbours on one lucky street shared a £1m prize at the start of December.

Other huge pay outs this year included an engineer who vowed to get his first ever passport and flight abroad after becoming one of 11 people in a Welsh village to share a £1m lottery prize in September in the PPL. Grant Williams bagged £83,333 along with 10 neighbours in Nantymoel after CF32 7SU won the lottery’s weekly £1m Millionaire Street prize on Saturday, September 28.
Every ticket in that prize was worth £83,333 with one winner doubling their prize to £166,666, thanks to playing with two tickets. The Nantymoel neighbours’ £1m win came one year after players in the nearby village of Tonypandy won the same prize – when three people won £333,333 each on September 23, 2023.
