The celebrities who once called the West Midlands home including two One Direction stars

Stars of the stage and screen began their lives in the West Midlands before the likes of Hollywood called their name. A huge number of celebrities were born in the region, from award-winning actors to beloved pop stars.

And two members of the same band were born in area. Former One Direction member Harry Styles originally comes from Redditch in Worcestershire.

Elsewhere, Liam Payne – who sadly died in October this year – was born and raised in Wolverhampton. The singer completed a music course at a college in the city before finding stardom on the X Factor.
