Bottomless brunches are often synonymous with endless drinks, but this new offer flips the script. For food lovers, Yauatcha City’s latest brunch experience focuses on unlimited dim sum rather than alcohol.
Every Saturday from 12pm to 6pm, Yauatcha City in Broadgate Circle offers a filling brunch for £45. The set menu includes unlimited steamed, fried, and baked dim sum, as well as baos, a cocktail, main dish and side, and dessert.
Upon arrival, you are welcomed with their signature Tales of Negroni cocktail, a mix of tea infusion, plum wine, coconut, and popcorn. The drink is served from a smoky bottle, and it’s available in both alcoholic and zero-proof versions.

The cocktail’s flavour is really unique, both bitter and subtly sweet, with a popcorn aftertaste. If Negroni isn’t your cup of tea, other cocktail alternatives are available – just ask your server.
The star of the show is hands down the dim sum, and it doesn’t disappoint. The baked venison and edamame puff pastries were the standout items I couldn’t stop reordering. The venison puff recipe hasn’t been changed in 20 years, and I can see why.
Three types of steamed dumplings – pork and prawn, prawn, and seafood with black truffle – add to the variety. While delicious, I did not repeat these to make room for the mains and dessert, which I regretted later.

The baos are another highlight, and there’s both roasted pork and pan-fried vegetarian options. The pork bao was particularly flavourful and far from the dryness typically associated with baos, it did not need any sauce.
Once you’ve finished your dim sum, it’s time to choose your main course – and note, you can’t order more dim sum after this. We tried the stir-fried scallop and prawn with asparagus and chili pepper sauce, which had impressively large prawns.
The second main dish, a sweet and spicy Chilean sea bass curry with vegetables like okra and aubergine, was creamy but slightly too spicy for my taste. Still, the flavours were rich.
The main dishes are a good size, so if you like the options, don’t get yourself full with dim sum

Dessert was the only let down of the meal: soufflé pancakes with honeycomb. The pancakes were dry and lacked the airy texture of a true soufflé, and the honeycomb was barely noticeable, I could only taste cream.
In hindsight, I wished I had focused more on the dim sum, which is undoubtedly the best part of this brunch. Take my advice and as much dim sum as you can before moving on.
Despite the dessert misstep, this brunch leaves you feeling completely stuffed and is great value for a weekend meal, with everything included. If dim sum matters more to you than bottomless drinks, this is the brunch you’ve been waiting for.
Yauatcha City is located at Broadgate, City of London, London EC2M 2QS. The brand’s other restaurant, Yauatcha Soho, will also be offering the unlimited brunch from tomorrow (Sunday, 12th January).
