Snow and treacherous roads are causing havoc with bin collections today. Stoke-on-Trent City Council has so far been unable to reach 55 streets on Tuesday, January 7.
There are issues across Hanley, Birches Head, Park Hall, Weston Coyney, Northwood, Bentilee, Meir, Longton, Bucknall and Tunstall. Now bin-men are hoping to collect as many bins as possible by 5pm tonight.
The disruption follows overnight snow which has brought chaos to Stoke-on-Trent side streets and closed numerous schools.
It comes as the Met Office is predicting hours of snow this afternoon and into tonight.
