Teen charged with attempted murder following New Year’s Eve ‘stabbing’

An 18-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged stabbing in the Black Country. Christvie Ludi was charged after a man in his 30s was found with stab wounds.

The man was discovered on Birmingham Road, Dudley, on New Year’s Eve, December 31. West Midlands Police has charged Ludi with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon, harassment and assault.

He will appear before Walsall Magistrates Court today, January 2. A force spokesperson said the injured man was taken to hospital and his injuries are no longer thought to be life-threatening.

In a statement, West Midlands Police said: “An 18-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Dudley. Christvie Ludi was charged after a man in his 30s was found with stab wounds in Birmingham Road on December 31.

“Ludi has been charged with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon, harassment and assault. He will appear before magistrates in Walsall today (2 January).

“We were called to the junction of Birmingham Road and Field Road in the early hours of December 31. The injured man was taken to hospital and his injuries are no longer thought to be life-threatening.”
