One Surrey primary school has opened a new nursery to get kids school ready. Saxon Nursery promises to offer a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for young children as they take their first steps into education.
The Shepperton based nursery is operated by Saxon Primary School and works alongside its reception year, sitting within the grounds of the school.
Set in a quiet residential area of Shepperton, the nursery has been designed to meet the developmental needs of toddlers in mind. It is made up of a large classroom, learning zones, an outdoor play area and snug room all aimed at fostering a love for learning through play.
Emma George, Nursery Manager said: “We believe in creating a warm, home-like atmosphere where children feel secure and supported as they explore their surroundings. Our goal is to inspire curiosity and confidence in our young learners”

Activities are structured around key areas like language development, motor skills and sensory exploration. The nursery also offers a range of extracurricular activities, including music, movement, and basic introduction to numbers and letters.
The nursery opened in September but is still accepting placements. One parent from the school said: “ It’s a huge relief to find a place that combines learning with care. The staff are so warm and the facilities are top-notch. I can’t wait to see how my child blossoms here.”
