SuperValu alert for mispacked food item which may be unsafe for some customers

An allergen alert has been issued for a mispacked SuperValu food item which may be unsafe for some customers.

Batches of the SuperValu Signature Tastes Greek Feta & Pasta Salad were mispacked with coleslaw, which contains egg and mustard. These ingredients are not declared on the label, making it unsafe for consumers who are allergic or intolerant to them.

The products with use by dates of 15/01/2025 and 17/01/2025 are affected. A notice on the Food Safety Authority of Ireland said: “The above implicated batches of SuperValu Signature Tastes Greek Feta & Pasta Salad were mispacked with coleslaw.

“The coleslaw product contains egg and mustard, which are not declared in the ingredients list on the label of the Greek Feta & Pasta Salad.

“This may make the implicated batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of egg and/or mustard.”

The products with use by dates of 15/01/2025 and 17/01/2025 are affected.
