Shamed rugby star Stuart Hogg was begging to meet with his secret ex just hours before his new relationship with another woman was announced on social media.
The former Scotland captain was given a one-year community payback order last week after admitting a domestic abuse charge against estranged wife Gillian.
Hogg, 32, who is in the process of a divorce, admitted shouting, swearing and acting in an abusive manner towards her, at Selkirk Sheriff Court in November.

Hogg and TV racing pundit Leonna Mayor, 34, had announced they were dating on Instagram in November 2023 while in a spa in Staffordshire days after Gillian, 37, had given birth to their daughter.
The Sunday Mail can reveal how Jilly O’Donnell, who spent three years secretly dating Hogg, has told how he was still asking to meet her hours before he headed to the spa.

Jilly, 47, from Newcastle said: “He said he was in Exeter and wanted to meet up. It didn’t happen.
“He later went to the spa and announced his relationship on Instagram with Leonna. Gillian had not long given birth.”
Jilly met Hogg, a full-back with Premiership side Exeter at the time, when he started liking her pictures on Instagram in 2020.
Hogg had told Jilly he was only living in Exeter with his wife for the sake of their children – but they were no longer together.
The pair ended contact when Hogg began dating Mayor – once dubbed the ‘world’s sexiest jockey’ who is pregnant with his fifth child.

After discovering their relationship, the student nurse messaged Hogg: “I’m still in such shock for all you’ve been! Your poor wife and your vile timing of your lass going public on social media in a spa while your wife was having your baby… says an awful lot about her and you… Literally turns my stomach.
“Can’t believe the you I knew wasn’t the real you! Did you text me to say ‘you’re in Exeter’ as you went off to the spa?
“That’s the last… and no time for your excuses and poor you. Take care Stuart, I don’t want to hear from you again.”
Last week Hogg of Hawick, Roxburghshire, who now plays for French club Montpellier, was given a community payback order with supervision – and a non-harassment order was imposed again.
Hogg was previously given a five-year non-harassment order and fined £600 after breaching bail conditions.

Jilly spoke out about the torment she suffered at the hands of Hogg in the belief that others have fallen victim to him.
Hogg and Leonna Mayor were approached for comment.
