A farm shop is celebrating 10 years in business. It was back in 2015 when Andrew and Debra Shuker opened Shukers Farm Shop, on Leek Road, in Weston Coyney.
Andrew had worked as a butcher’s apprentice at Browns before running a stall at Crewe Market. But he had always dreamed of having his own farm and following in his grandad’s footsteps who had been a Bucknall pig farmer.
Shukers Farm Shop stated: “In 2015 we opened our doors for the very first time at Shukers Farm Shop. As the shop started to grow Andy needed extra help and in 2016 Andy was joined by son Luke. In 2019 the farm next door came up for sale and this is when Luke and his soon-to-be wife moved onto the farm to be around to help more.
“Over the years we have grown, opening rented units and inviting other business onto our site. The shop is still a family affair, daily you will see Andy and Luke behind the counter, Natalie the youngest moved down the road and opened Bobby’s, and the oldest son opened his own business and moved to his own farm.
“Now we approach our 10th birthday we are looking to the future and over the next year expect to see some big changes, some of which will start taking place over the coming weeks. For now we will keep you guessing but all will be revealed in the coming months.”
