State-of-the-art indoor golf bar with late-night DJs to open in Manchester

A state-of-the-art indoor golf and shuffleboard space will be opening in Manchester later this year – having already proved to be popular in London.

Pitch will open in Goods Yard in March – joining the likes of Caravan, Aviva Studios, The Trading Route and Fenix as neighbours. Located near Castlefield and the Science and Industry Museum, the indoor venue will also feature a big focus on entertainment, with late-night DJs set to take over the space throughout the week.

Founded by PGA-trained professional coaches Elliot Godfrey and Chris Ingham seven years ago, Pitch has a number of venues already in London’s Bishopsgate and Soho, alongside a location in Dublin.

There will be ten state-of-the-art simulator bays for people to use, alongside a custom club-fitting bay and even shuffleboards to use. The new Manchester space will also feature a bar and kitchen, serving a range of tasty dishes and cocktails on an Asian-inspired ‘18 Greens’ menu.

Aimed to ‘change the way the sport is played’, the Pitch experience uses high-tech simulator technology to ‘accurately recreate the experience of real golf’ with a variety of formats and locations to ‘transport’ yourself to – including the Old Course at St Andrews Links and California’s Pebble Beach.

Set to open seven days a week, the Manchester venue will also feature late-night DJ slots and a host of other events. Pitch Manchester will also be the home of the second ‘TRENDYGOLF Concept Store’ in the country – which will open six days a week and stock popular brands such as J Lindeberg, Hugo Boss, Manors, Malbon Golf, Ralph Lauren and G/FORE.

In addition, the Manchester Pitch will also feature an academy space for beginner women golfers, in partnership with Adidas, which has proven successful in London with over 1,000 golfers to date.

Pitch co-founder and CEO Elliot Godfrey said: “We’re very excited to open our first venue in Manchester at the start of 2025, giving Pitch a presence in one of the UK’s busiest cities and one with a special relationship with sport.

“When we began the process of expanding beyond London, Manchester was one of the first places we set our sights on, and it’s fitting to open our innovative concept somewhere that has always striven to be at the forefront of development and progress.

“Pitch venues are the perfect places for social gatherings, and it is a way of playing and engaging with the game that is open to everyone.”

Co-founder Chris Ingham added: “Enterprise City is the perfect setting for a Pitch venue and our new branch will become part of one of the UK’s best social and cultural hotspots when it opens.

“With a TRENDYGOLF Concept Store and no shortage of food and drink options, we envision this being a place where Mancunians can spend hours socialising, golfing and dining in style.”

Pitch also has plans for a new venue in Brighton, as well as new locations in Melbourne, Australia, and also in the USA in the near future, as part of its wider roll-out.

Pitch Manchester is set to open in March 2025.
