Huddersfield Town fans and club staff who died in 2024 have been remembered in a special memorial event.
There was a minute’s applause by supporters at the final home game of the year at the John Smith’s Stadium on Sunday, December 29, when Town took on Burton Albion.
More than 60 Huddersfield Town fans were remembered along with former staff and ex-players who died in 2024. The names and photos of those who died were including in a memorial edition of the match programme, The Terrier, and were also included in a video tribute played before kick-off.
Among those who died was Leah Senior, 27, from Huddersfield, who died in tragic circumstances in January when she jumped from a van. Also remembered was Christopher Gahan, known as Kappa, who died aged 56 in July after a short illness.
Ex-players were also remembered. These included Graham Bailey, Steve Smith, Ray Holt, Steve Hardwick, Willie Sinclair and Bobby Hoy.
