Traffic is queueing after a two-car crash in Liverpool city centre. Police were called to New Quay on The Strand at around 6.40pm on Thursday, January 16 following reports of a crash between a blue Ford Fiesta and a white Vauxhall Corsa.
Pictures taken at the scene show both cars stopped in the middle of the carriageway. One of the cars is badly damaged with its bonnet crumpled. The other vehicle has a large dent in the passenger side.
There were no serious injuries, a force incident manager for Merseyside Police said. The road is currently blocked while arrangements are made to clear the vehicles.
