Ravenhill Road crash recap after ‘serious’ collision leaves one person hospitalised

Emergency services have been in attendance at the scene of a ‘serious’ crash in South Belfast.

The PSNI said the collision was in the Ravenhill Road area and the road was closed between the roundabout at the Ormeau Road junction and St Judes Parade. It has since reopened.

A statement from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service ssaid: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 10:02am on Monday, 30th December 2024 following reports of an RTC on the Ravenhill Road area, Belfast.

“NIAS despatched 1 Emergency Ambulance, a Rapid Response Paramedic, a Hazardous Area Response Team and HEMS were tasked to the incident by road. One person was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital by Ambulance.”

At the time a PSNI spokesperson said: “Road users are advised of a serious collision in the Ravenhill Road area. Emergency services are at the scene.

“The road has been closed between the roundabout at the Ormeau Road junction and St Judes Parade. Local diversions are in place.”

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service say one person has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
