Popular bakery chain Gail’s has revealed the opening date of its new store in Leamington Spa. After various rumours, the posh bakery will open on Wednesday, January 22, at 91 Regent Street.
Gail’s serves artisan pastries, sourdough bread, sandwiches, and cakes alongside its specialty House Blend coffee. The chain says it takes the time to make its cakes, bread, pastries, breaks, and lunches ‘with care,’ by hand, and according to the season.
The property was purchased in 2021 by local Apprentice star Raj Chohan, who appeared in the 2024 series, and her husband said the building had an ‘unconventional design’ and that buying it was a bit of a gamble. However, after many planning setbacks, work commenced in early 2024 to open Gail’s Bakery.

Gail’s has more than 130 outlets across London, the North West, and the South of England. The closest branch is currently at Stratford-upon-Avon, which opened in September 2024. The Leamington Spa store is set to include various amenities, from a pantry where customers can take home a selection of jams, spreads, crackers, and biscuits. Fresh produce to take away will include cured meats to cloth-bond cheddar, to a range of ‘joy-filled’ gifts from individual cakes and biscuits to build-your-own boxes and gift cards.
The in-season menu has been released on Gail’s website and includes seasonal teas such as Darjeeling second flush tea and blackcurrant hibiscus tea, morning pastries such as almond croissant and cinnamon bun, on-toast dishes from toasted sourdough with islands chocolate and hazelnut spread, and sweet treats from honey cake, flourless chocolate cake and pistachio, lemon and rose cake.
