A famous American fast food chain is opening on Surrey’s doorstep. Popeyes UK has announced it will be bringing the flavours of Louisiana to Bracknell with the launch of its new restaurant at the end of the month.
The chicken restaurant will be opening in The Lexicon at 11am on Friday, January 24 making it the chain’s second location in Berkshire. While this will be the 68th restaurant nationwide, there are no Popeyes in Surrey, making the Bracknell branch one of the easiest to get to.
To celebrate the opening Popeyes will be holding some exciting giveaways for fast food fans to get their hands on their sandwiches for free. On launch day the first three people in the queue will win the ultimate prize of free Chicken Sandwiches for a full year.
The first 100 customers will be treated to a free Chicken Sandwich, exclusive Popeyes UK merchandise, and live entertainment from the Brass Funkeys. Customers are advised to get down there early, as when the chain opened in Reading in 2023, fans queued overnight.
Popeyes is known for its chicken, and customer favourites include crispy Hot Wings, Tenders, and Signature Chicken Wraps in Classic, Spicy, and BBQ. Plus for a limited time only, Popeyes is bringing back its popular Buffalo Ranch Sandwich made with hot Buffalo sauce, cool Ranch, fresh pickles and served in a warm brioche bun.

Each piece of chicken is marinated for 12 hours on-site in its signature blend of Louisiana herbs and spices, then hand-breaded and battered complemented by tasty extras like Biscuits and Cajun Gravy.
There is also a breakfast menu that will be served from 8am on Saturday, January 25. This includes a mix of British breakfast classics with a Louisiana twist, such as the Big Cajun Roll, Cajun Hash Browns and Nutella-topped buttermilk biscuits. A breakfast meal deal consists of the Bacon Breakfast roll, a Cajun Hash Brown and a drink for £1.99 an can be claimed exclusively through the Popeyes UK app.
Tom Crowley, Popeyes UK chief executive, said: “We’re pleased to confirm that our highly anticipated Bracknell restaurant will officially open its doors on Friday 24th January. Following the success of our restaurant in Reading, bringing another Popeyes to Berkshire has been on our list for a while, and we’re looking forward to reaching even more people to give them the taste of our famous Shatter-Crunchin’ fried chicken.”
The new restaurant will be located at 45 High Street, Bracknell, RG12 1EA and brings 60 new jobs to the area. Plans include 38 seats indoors and 8 outside, self-service kiosks and collection points for orders made online via the Popeyes UK website or official app.
