Around 240 anti-tank mines, mislaid by the Polish military during transit, were discovered in an IKEA warehouse, within a furniture store.
Polish media outlet TVP reported on January 10 that Artur Kengwczynski, head of the support inspectorate, was sacked by Poland’s Ministry of Defence the previous day, having been held accountable for the loss of the mines. The mishap took place in July last year while transporting 1,000 tons of equipment, including anti-tank landmines, from Hainoufka, near the Belarusian border, to Mosty, situated off the Baltic coast.
After confirming that five pallets laden with landmines had vanished from the train post-transportation, the Polish military authorities initiated an investigation.

The missing 240 anti-tank mines were later retrieved from an IKEA warehouse in Orla, a city close to Hainoufka.
Polish media say that the undelivered landmines may have journeyed across the country on trains.
Four serving soldiers are currently under investigation by prosecutors for dereliction of duty and could potentially face up to five years behind bars, according to international media reports.

Antonia Harman, a 44-year-old from Cornwall, has evolved into a real-life ghost hunter, claiming to exile malevolent entities to plush destinations such as Disney World and The Ritz, rather than condemning them to the fiery depths.
Her foray into the realm of the paranormal allegedly began in 2007 when she miraculously healed a friend’s burst eardrum by extracting a serpent-like “demon”.
This bizarre epiphany spurred her to leave behind her glamorous career in TV presenting and modelling, opting instead to focus on tackling malevolent spirits and teaching others to tap into their innate “magical” abilities.
One encounter even took place at IKEA, where she claims to have spotted an entity resembling a “metallic octopus”, which she later managed to eliminate by drawing it out of her own body.
