Police are hunting two hammer-wielding men who damaged a property in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday, January 1, when the suspects attended an address by travelling in a taxi to Park Road South, in Middlesbrough, between 2.15am and 2.25am. Damage was caused to a property using hammers, before the suspects got back into the taxi and left the scene in the direction of Marton Road.
They are described as white males, one wearing a jacket with a fur hood and the other wearing a thin, black jacket. Cleveland Police have now launched an appeal to catch the culprits.
A force spokesperson said: “Anyone who may have CCTV in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone who may have further information, is asked to contact Cleveland Police. Officers would also appeal for the driver of the taxi to come forward and speak with them. Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference number SE25000118.”
