A Plymouth man is following his dream of helping others to unlock their “full career potential”. He can help jobseekers to rewrite an effective CV and he offers coaching for the interview process.
Former model, Glyn Nicholls wants to help people from “all different backgrounds” to get the job they want. The 36-year-old has enjoyed success himself in various professions – including being represented by top London model agency, Select Model Management.
As well as starring in TV commercials and walking the catwalk for fashion brands, Glyn has had managerial roles and worked for several retail brands.
After “deciding to stop” working as a model, the empathic 36-year-old has put his positive energy into setting up his business Futuristic Leader.
Glyn said: “I want to reach out and help more people to get a job – or to enhance their current role. Some people do not have the tools or the opportunities and I want to assist people with CV help as well as giving confidence and tips on how to apply for a job.
“I’m trying to eliminate the stress and make the process more structured and focused for people. Everyone I’ve helped so far has managed to get where they wanted to be. My business is my passion.”
The service Glyn provides is mainly available via online meetings, he works nationally as well as helping Plymouth people. He’s currently converting his garage into a business room for face-to-face meetings.
Glyn said that when a person wants to progress in a career a CV often needs a bit of tweaking, plus he will give tips on “how to act” during a stressful interview. Glyn shares tips and offers on his Facebook page – even offering free CV makeover sessions at times.
Posting on his Facebook page Glyn wrote: “Too often, we tell ourselves we’ll update the CV tomorrow, but weeks turn into months, and opportunities slip by. Time moves fast, and hesitation only keeps you in the same spot.”
In another recent post he wrote: “The right job isn’t just about a pay check, it’s a pathway to mental clarity, a balanced life, and the freedom to thrive. Success in business boosts not only our bank accounts but our overall well-being.”
