A brow bar in Plymouth is offering a new service for cancer patients. Brow Envy Plymouth has announced a collaboration with The Primrose Foundation to provide medical areola nipple tattooing for mastectomy and cancer patients.
The service is described by the salon as a significant step toward empowering individuals on their healing journeys, offering not only physical restoration but also emotional confidence. Salon director, Melanie Hopwood, is at the heart the initiative.
With over 25 years of experience in the beauty industry and a decade as a maxillofacial nurse at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, Mel’s career has been driven by a desire to serve others. Her transition from healthcare to the beauty industry wasn’t just a career change—it was an expansion of her mission to heal and empower.
Mel said: “At Brow Envy, we understand the profound impact medical tattooing and holistic therapies can have on someone recovering from cancer. These treatments go beyond physical restoration—they provide a sense of empowerment and hope, helping individuals reclaim their sense of self.
“In addition to medical areola tattooing, we’re proud to offer Made for Life cancer therapy treatments. These holistic therapies are designed to support individuals at any stage of their cancer journey, helping to alleviate symptoms, improve well-being, and nurture both body and soul.
“Brow Envy Plymouth is more than a salon, it’s a sanctuary for those seeking healing and restoration. Our collaboration with The Primrose Foundation and dedication to offering treatments like medical areola tattooing and Made for Life therapies reflect our unwavering commitment to making a difference.”
