Plymouth Argyle vs Lincoln Live: Updates from FA Youth Cup clash

Plymouth Argyle are aiming to reach the last 16 of the FA Youth Cup for the first time since the 2017/18 season when they take on Lincoln City at Home Park tonight.

Jamie Lowry’s young Pilgrims clinched their place in the fourth round of the competition with a thrilling 4-2 extra-time win at Carlisle United last month. Their goalscorers at far-away Brunton Park that night were Cole Fisher, Harry Shield, Seb Campbell and Frankie Maund.

Argyle reached the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup in 2017/18 when their squad included future first team players such as Michael Cooper, Luke Jephcott and Adam Randell.

The young Pilgrims beat Eastleigh and AFC Wimbledon before causing a huge upset as they won 6-5 on penalties against Manchester following a 0-0 draw after extra-time. Argyle went to Burnley in round four and defeated them 1-0 but their cup run was ended at the last 16 stage when they lost 3-1 after-time at home to Fulham.

Lincoln have reached the fourth round this season with wins away to Lichfield City (5-0) and Bolton Wanderers (3-2) and at home to Wrexham (4-2).
