Police are appealing for help to identify a man caught on CCTV after a petrol station worker was threatened and a shop window smashed. Officers say a ‘suspicious’ man was spotted at the garage in King Street, Fenton.
He then turned ‘aggressive’ with threats made to a member of staff. And before leaving the scene with another man, a window was broken.
Now Staffordshire Police believe a man captured on security cameras can help with their investigation into the incident, which happened at around 9pm on Friday, December 27. The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 9ins tall with a slim build. He was wearing a light blue Under Armour jacket.
A force spokesman said: “We have released a CCTV image of a man we want to speak to following a disturbance at a shop in Stoke-on-Trent. We received a report of a man acting suspiciously at a petrol station, on King Street, Fenton.
“The man became aggressive and threatened a shop worker. A window was smashed as the suspect left the scene with another man, who was waiting outside the shop. If you recognise the man in the image, please call us.”
Sightings should be reported to Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident 652 of December 27. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
