The former members of One Direction are set to honour their late band mate, Liam Payne, by re-releasing their 2013 documentary This Is Us. The proceeds from this are set to be donated to charities in Liam’s honour.
It comes after the 31-year-old died in October last year when he fell from a hotel balcony. And now his fellow former One Direction members – Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson – have shared the gesture.
On Tuesday, This Is Us will return to select Odeon cinemas for one night. Taking to social media to share the news, a spokesperson for Odeon wrote: “By popular demand, and in tribute to the late Liam Payne, we’re bringing One Direction: This is Us back to the big screen January 14.

“We’ll be donating all ticket profits from this screening to the mental health awareness charities MIND, SAMH and AWARE NI.” The cinema chain describes the film: “An intimate all-access look at life on the road for the global music phenomenon.
“Weaved with stunning live concert footage, this inspiring feature film tells the remarkable story of Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis’ meteoric rise to fame, from their humble hometown beginnings and competing on the X-Factor, to conquering the world and performing at London’s famed O2 Arena.”
The synopsis reads: “Hear it from the boys themselves and see through their own eyes what it’s really like to be One Direction.”
In response to the news, one fan wrote on X: “Nice one Odeon, this will mean a lot to fans.” A second said: “Thank you for that. Liam’s deserved more than tributes, he’s irreplaceable. But you’re doing a good thing.”
