Northern Ireland has had multiple weather warnings this week, with snow and ice dominating the forecasts across the region.
That bitter conditions are hopefully set to take a turn over the next few days, according to experts. Friday had a frosty start with icy patches and freezing fog. Otherwise it’s forecast to be a dry and “very cold day” with some bright or sunny spells and maximum temperatures of 3C.
A spokesperson for the Met Office says this evening will be dry and cold with some frost. Mainly dry and cloudy into the early hours, with potential for some rain in the far southwest and lows of -1C.
Looking ahead to Saturday and Sunday, conditions won’t be just as icy.

A cloudy day and mainly dry day, a little light rain possible across the southwest. Becoming somewhat less cold. Maximum temperature 6C.

Sunday, January 12
Dry although fairly cloudy throughout the day. Temperatures to rise to 8C in Belfast at lunchtime.
Outlook for Monday and Tuesday
Cloudy and mild on Monday with rain for a time. Dry and still quite mild on Tuesday.
