A new Dublin City Half Marathon has been launched with the inaugural race taking place on Sunday, March 30.
The 13.1-mile race embarks from the iconic O’Connell Street, guiding runners on an adventure through the city’s northern stretches before looping back into the vibrant heart of they city. Dublin City Council has partnered with Irish Life Dublin Marathon and Race Series to launch the event.
With the race’s motto ‘Run Together – Thrive Together’, participants across all skill levels are encouraged to hit the pavement. At the launch event today, Lord Mayor of Dublin Emma Blain said: “This event is the perfect opportunity to set one of your New Year’s Resolutions. I look forward to supporting the runners as they take on the half-marathon challenge in our fantastic city and showing my support for their incredible efforts.”
Eager runners can leap into action by securing a spot at www.dublincityhalfmarathon.ie, where entries have officially opened. Those wishing to compete must pay a €68 entrance fee, which covers a coveted finisher’s t-shirt, a commemorative medal, and the delivery of race numbers to runners.
