A Drumchapel bingo player struck lucky just days before Christmas by bagging £81,000 at their local hall.
The winner, who wished to remain anonymous, hit the jackpot on Sunday, December 22, on Mecca Bingo’s Big Bonus game giving them an amazing Christmas surprise.
Known to be a regular at Mecca Bingo Drumchapel, the winner was said to be stunned after winning the huge prize and never dreamed of winning the big jackpot.
Mecca launched Big Bonus last year, costing just £1 to play. The game is played six times a day and the jackpot grows steadily until it is claimed.
The lucky local almost missed the chance to play after searching for spare change to take part just before the game began. However, they managed to play and walked away with the second-largest Big Bonus jackpot Mecca has ever seen.
