A “much-loved daddy” sadly died just before Christmas, it has emerged. Loving tributes to Rodney Rickard have been shared in this week’s funeral notices.
Rodney, 36, from Tregony, near Truro, leaves behind his wife, Donna, who is pregnant with their second child, and their son Noah. He is described as a “loving husband” and “precious son”.
He passed away on Wednesday, December 11. The notice states that his passing was peaceful and that he was surrounded by family.
Donna paid tribute to her husband on Instagram, writing: “It’s with a heavy heart that I let you know that my darling Rodd Rickard gained his angel wings last night. He is my best friend, love of my life and soul mate and I only wish I had met him sooner.
“He was the best daddy to Noah and Noah absolutely adores his daddy. I will never ever let him forget you, darling. We have made the most amazing memories as a family and none of that would have been possible without you.
“You always said if I post that you are a fighter, you will be fuming, but my God, you did!”
