A man in his 50s has tragically died after a collision involving a motorcycle and car on the A158. The incident took place shortly before 3pm on Tuesday, December 31.
Two vehicles, a blue Suzuki motorcycle and a silver Isuzu car, were involved in the collision between the Partney roundabout, near Sausthorpe and the B1195 Slash Lane near Hagworthingham. The rider of the motorcycle, a man from the Louth area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours so that accident investigation works could take place. Officers are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact the force.
An update from Lincolnshire Police was posted to its website at 10.40am on Wednesday, January 1. It stated: “We are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to contact us following a collision in which a motorcyclist sadly died.
“We received a call at 2.53pm yesterday (31 December) from our colleagues at East Midlands Ambulance Service, reporting the incident on the A158 just before the Partney roundabout, near Sausthorpe. The collision involved two vehicles, a blue Suzuki motorcycle and a silver Isuzu car.”
The update continued: “The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 50s from the Louth area, was pronounced deceased at the scene. We are now appealing for your help as part of our investigation.
