A motorcyclist has died following a collision on Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24) near Maidstone. The crash took place at around 2.25pm on Tonbridge Road, Barming near The Bull Inn.
A white Honda 125cc motorbike travelling in the direction of Wateringbury collided with a lamppost. Emergency services, including police and paramedics, rushed to the scene and a man was subsequently airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Officers attended the scene alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service, and a man in his 40s was flown to a London hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. His next of kin has been informed. Investigating officers are now seeking witnesses to the incident.”
