Missing Les Davis live updates as Scarborough search ramps up

An elderly Scarborough man has not been seen since last week, with the police asking anyone who sees him to call 999.

Leslie Davis, known as Les, left his home in the Dean Road area of Scarborough on the morning of Thursday, December 19. He has not been seen since.

Now, North Yorkshire Police have said they are “extremely concerned” for the 85-year-old’s welfare. They urge people to check their own CCTV, video doorbell or dashcam footage for any sightings.

Leslie is around five feet four inches tall, of a small build, with short white/grey hair. He normally wears a baseball cap.

North Yorkshire Police are asking anyone who was in North Bay, Scarborough, particularly the area around Royal Albert Drive, between 6.40am and 7.40am, on December 19, to get in touch. They are also asking people to check their CCTV or video footage in the area of the William Street Coach Park towards Queens Parade and the surrounding area.

They also ask people to review dashcam footage taken along Marine Drive that morning. If you have any footage which may have capture Leslie, you should get in contact immediately. You should call 101 to provide information, or 999 with an immediate sighting, with reference number NYP-21122024-0152,
