Midlands’ worst 20 GP surgeries according to patients as new survey launches for 2025

People are once again being asked to rate their local GP practices as part of the national GP Patient Survey. Each year, the views of millions of patients across the UK are gathered to provide insight into how well they are performing in the eyes of the public.

Results are then published so people can see which surgeries are performing best and worst according to those who use them. Patients are asked to give an overall judgement about whether their practice is good or poor.

This can be based on a number of factors including quality of care, their opinion of their GP and how easy it is to get an appointment. There are a number of surgeries in the West Midlands which will be hoping their score improves from the 2024 Patient Survey.

The Black Country Family Practice in Tipton got support from only 30% of patients. This made it the worst GP surgery in the eyes of patients last year. Hill Top Medical Centre in West Bromwich; Saltley and Fernbank Medical Practice; and Springfield Medical Practice also got poor scores.
