Mickey Joe Harte made a joke on tonight’s Dancing With the Stars episode that did not go unnoticed by viewers.
Calling back to an accidentally saucy pun made by new judge Karen Byrne last week, Mickey had audiences laughing with his response to judges feedback on this week’s show.
He and professional dancer Daniela Roze took on the Jive to the classic Mickey by Toni Basil.
Last week, after his paso doble in leather trousers, Karen told him: “It was a bit stiff Mickey, but that could have been your trousers.”
Sharing her critiques this week, Karen advised Mickey to give his moves a little more power, and the Eurovision star referred back to her past comment in his response.
“It’s not stiff Mickey you’re looking at this week, it’s sort of tired and sore Mickey to be honest,” he joked.
Karen said that her initial reference was unintentional. Karen told RSVP Live: “I genuinely didn’t realise what I had said. It was only afterwards that people pointed it out. It is unfortunate that his name is Mickey and, for me, there were parts of the dance that were stiff.”
Fans of the show have been loving Karen as an addition to the judges panel, with those following the show on social media singing her praises this week and last.

Those commenting on Eurovision legend Mickey have given their feedback on his dancing this week, as he received a low score from the judges.
“Ah Mickey Joe brings a bit of craic to the dance floor, to be fair. He’ll definitely be one of those improved dancers as time goes on, I think,” one said.
Another added; “I don’t care we need to keep Mickey in long enough to dance to we’ve got the world.”
A third said: “Mickey Joe bringing wild dad energy to this year’s competition and I’m all here for it.”
