The Met Office says that snow could return to Coventry and Warwickshire in just a matter of hours. That is according to the latest local online forecast.
For today (January 7), the forecast predicts ‘sunny spells and scattered showers, mixing rain, sleet, snow and hail.’ There is also the possibility of snow making a comeback on Saturday (January 11).
The outlook Thursday to Saturday explains that the cold weather is set to continue. This could see ‘some rain and hill snow’ on Saturday, the forecast explains.

It comes as an amber cold health alert has been extended to continue into this weekend. This is due to the plunging temperatures that are set to dominate over the next few days.
In fact, it could fall as low as -6C tonight with overnight frosts throughout the week. The latest local forecast is as follows:
Today
A day of sunny spells and scattered showers, mixing rain, sleet, snow and hail. Breezy at times, especially in and around any showers. Feeling cold despite the sunshine. Maximum temperature 5C.
Tonight
Turning drier with clear spells as showers slowly fade and the winds ease overnight. Turning cold under the clear skies with a severe frost forming, and some icy stretches possible. Minimum temperature -6 °C.
Wednesday
A cold and frosty but bright start to Wednesday with sunny spells and the odd wintry showers, mainly near the coasts. Feeling cold, but winds lighter than on Tuesday. Maximum temperature 4C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday
Remaining cold with further overnight frosts. Staying dry on Thursday with plenty of sunshine. Cloudier on Friday with perhaps some rain and hill snow on Saturday.
