Man woken up by member of the public after attack in Lincoln city centre

Police are appealing for information after an assault in the city centre. Lincolnshire Police say the attack happened on Wednesday, January 1, although they say they do not know the exact time or location.

The victim was woken up by a concerned member of the public on St Andrews Street, Lincoln. The force is now appealing for information about what happened, and believe the man in the photo may be able to help.

An update posted to the Lincolnshire Police website states: “We are appealing for information after an assault in Lincoln. The incident took place in the centre of the city on the 1 January, though the exact time and location of the attack remains unclear.

“The victim was woken up by a concerned member of the public on St Andrews Street. Investigators are now appealing for information and believe the man pictured below might be able to help them with their enquiries.”
