Man seriously injured as air ambulance lands at scene of major crash

A man has been seriously injured after a crash in Cambridgeshire this morning (December 30). Emergency services were called to London Road, Peterborough, at around 8.20am with reports of a single-vehicle crash.

The road was closed between New Road and A1129 High Street while the emergency services attended the scene. One man was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “One ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic car and the MAGPAS air ambulance were called to London Road Peterborough this morning following reports of a vehicle involved in a road traffic collision. One man was transported to Peterborough City Hospital in a serious condition.”
