A man in his 20s remains in hospital in a ‘serious condition’ after being found with a head injury on New Year’s Eve.
Police and paramedics descended on Rough Lea Road in Thornton Cleveleys after reports that a man had been found with a head injury at an address. He was taken to hospital for treatment and remains in a serious condition.
Officers remain at the scene overnight and pictures showed a police vehicle parked near to The Dickens Inn. Lancashire Constabulary said an investigation is ongoing to determine how and where the man suffered the injury.
In a statement, a force spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.04pm on December 31 to an address in Rough Lea Road, Thornton Cleveleys, to a report a man had been found with a head injury. The emergency services attended and the man who is in his 20s, was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
“Enquiries are continuing as to how the man suffered the injury and where he suffered it. Anyone with information, please contact 101, quoting log 0720 of December 31, 2024.”
